MICHELLE GRIFFITHS

Michelle Griffiths is a Seychelloise Artist who grew up in New Zealand.  Michelle studied Costume Design at Edith Cowan University in Australia and since returning to Seychelles is a full time artist working from her studio in Providence, Mahe.

Created with her signature vibrant colour palette – the artist works in acrylic paint, watercolours, pencil and ink.

With an aim to illustrate scenes from both her imagination and remembrances, the main body of Michelle’s work is inspired by nature with a series comprised of beautifully observed and rendered plants, flowers and aquatic life, sometimes realistic in form but more often with a whimsical twist. Many of these scenes are conjured in her imagination or are inspired by the gardens and marine life around her tropical beachside home.
