the ARTISTS
I was born on the island of Mahe, Seychelles in 1963 and spent my childhood on the island of La Digue.

I studied Art at Seychelles College to A level. I was awarded scholarships to further my studies at Blackheath College of Art and Goldsmiths College, both in London. A number of important collaborative friendships with fellow artists also helped to focus my direction as an artist, most notably the French artist Mikel Chaussepied who in 1992, introduced me to the techniques of etching.
